About Florida Career College

Founded as Florida Programming and Educational Center, Inc., Florida Career College began its first classes in September 1982 in Miami, Florida. In 1990, the School started using the name Florida Computer and Business School. Through the years, the school has grown and expanded with additional courses and programs to match student skills with the needs of the computer industry and business sectors.

In 1999, the School became a Microsoft IT Academy. The School opened its second campus in January 2000, in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The West Palm Beach Campus opened and started classes September 2002. The fifth campus in Lauderdale Lakes was opened in August 2005. In 2002, the College was awarded collegiate status by the Florida Commission for Independent Education. The Commission for Independent Education also approved the College’s curriculum for Allied Health Medical Programs.

In July 2006, the Clearwater and Brandon campus locations, formerly EduTech Centers, were acquired and renamed Florida Career College in February 2007.

FACILITIES

Florida Career College currently owns and operates seven campuses. The main campus is located in Miami, Florida with six branch campuses located in Pembroke Pines, Florida, West Palm Beach, Florida, Lauderdale Lakes, Florida and Hialeah, Florida Clearwater, Florida and Brandon, Florida. All campuses are conveniently located near expressways, shopping malls, and restaurants.

Florida Career College offers large, comfortable classrooms, computer labs with PC and Mac computers, Medical Labs, bookstore and a resource center. The resource center provides students and faculty with reference materials, including books, videos and periodicals to supplement textbooks and lectures. Also, each campus houses school offices for student services, financial services, and career center.

The Lauderdale Lakes campus is located at 3383 N State Road 7, Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. The 50,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located on the corner of N State Road 7 and West Oakland Park Blvd.

The Miami campus is located at 1321 SW 107 Avenue, Suite 201B, Miami, Florida. The 28,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located across the street from Florida International University (F.I.U.) South Campus.

The Pembroke Pines campus is located at 7891 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, Florida. The 45,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located at the intersection of Pines Boulevard and University Drive.

The West Palm Beach campus is located at 6058 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach, Florida. The 48,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located off the Turnpike exit at Okeechobee Blvd in the plaza directly south of the toll gate.

The Hialeah campus is located at 3750 West 18th Avenue, Hialeah, Florida, 33012. The 28,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located off the Palmetto Expressway and I-75.

The Clearwater campus is located at 410 Park Place Boulevard, Clearwater, Florida. The 20,000 square-foot facility is conveniently located across from the Clearwater Mall on the north side of Route 60 (Gulf-to-Bay Blvd.) between U.S. 19 and McMullen Booth Road.

The Brandon campus is located at 2662 South Falkenburg Rd, Brandon, Florida. The 12,000 square-foot facility is conveniently located off the the Crosstown Expressway, and Interstates 4 & 75.

Florida Career College is owned and controlled by Education Training Corporation, a Florida Corporation.
