About Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU)
Polytechnic Institute of New York University, founded in 1854 in Brooklyn, New York, is the metropolitan area's preeminent resource in science, technology, research, and management education. In addition to its main campus at MetroTech Center in Brooklyn, NYU-Poly offers programs at sites throughout the region, including Long Island, Manhattan and Westchester. Additionally, NYU-Poly offers several programs in Israel.
Degrees
NYU-Poly awards the Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Master of Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy in a wide range of school degree programs.
Location
NYU-Poly's MetroTech campus is located in Downtown Brooklyn, New York. It also has graduate centers in Long Island, Westchester and Manhattan.
Resources
A $130-million upgrade to the MetroTech campus is reflected in a newly constructed academic building, a modern residence hall, a new athletic facility, new labs, and a state-of-the-art computing infrastructure. Wireless networking is available on campus, allowing students to connect to the NYU-Poly network and the Internet from virtually anywhere. New computer labs feature high-end workstations for research, 3D modeling and dynamic simulation.
The Bern Dibner Library of Science and Technology has more than 190,000 titles, 200,000 volumes, numerous serials, online databases, CD-ROM learning tools and multimedia resources. The library is also a member of the Online Computer Library Center, which maintains an international database with over 4,000 participating libraries.
A number of research centers provide the latest tools and technologies for research and study in various fields, including telecommunications, supercomputing, wireless, polymers, biocatalysis and others.
Students
More than 3,000 students, about half of which are undergraduates, from 30 states and 50 foreign countries attend NYU-Poly. For two consecutive years, NYU-Poly has been ranked among the top ten most diverse campuses in the country. More than 95 percent of full-time undergraduate students receive financial aid.

Bowling Green State University Overview
BGSU HiSTORY
Bowling Green State University was established in 1910 as a teacher-training institution. A total of 304 students were enrolled that first year, with a faculty of 21. The first bachelor’s degrees were awarded in 1917.
In 1929, the College of Education and the College of Liberal Arts were added to offer four year degree programs. Bowling Green attained full university status in 1935, the same year the College of Business Administration and Graduate Programs were added. Over the next five decades, several more colleges and programs were added, as well as a satellite campus now known to us as Firelands College.

National Prominence
BGSU is home to the country’s only National Center for Marriage Research, established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in fall 2007 with a five-year, $4.35 million grant.
BGSU was one of five colleges and universities chosen nationally to receive the 2007 CHEA Award for Institutional Progress in Student Learning Outcomes by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching recognizes BGSU for its curricular engagement with the community. The foundation, which uses national data to classify higher education institutions, created the elective classification in 2006. The curricular engagement designation is defined as “teaching, learning and scholarship that engages faculty, students and community in mutually beneficial and respectful collaboration. Their interactions address community-identified needs, deepen students' civic and academic learning, enhance community well-being and enrich the scholarship of the institution.”
The Princeton Review says BGSU's MBA program is among the nation's best. The MBA program ranks fifth among schools providing the greatest opportunity for minority students, according to the 2008 edition of the Review's “Best 290 Business Schools.”
BGSU’s doctoral program in industrial/organizational psychology is ranked third in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
