Health Care

West Virginia Junior College’s medical assisting program prepares you to fulfill this role in a variety of medical settings. You are not only trained in theory but have hands-on experience in clinical labs featuring the same kinds of equipment found in medical offices. After completing the academic phase of the program, the student will have supervised externship experiences in physicians' offices, selected departments, or other medical facilities.

Technology

Learn the need-to-know technologies at West Virginia Junior College for a successful career in Computer Technology. They know what employers are looking for and they have contacts throughout the area to help you start your new career. The Computer Technology program was designed to introduce the student to installation and configuration of system and application software. Students will also build, maintain, repair and upgrade PCs. Additionally, students will study equally important topics like troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware and software issues, ethics, network fundamentals and server management.

Legal

Most lawsuits, house closings, and corporations have something in common: a legal office assistant. This profession is growing fast to meet the increased demand of more lawyers joining the workforce. The education is thorough and the instructors are practicing professionals. Students learn the responsibilities of the legal office assistant including a complete introduction to the law, legal procedures and court systems, as well as necessary office skills.

History of West Virginia Junior College

Founded in 1922, West Virginia Junior College is located in Morgantown, WV, just a minute’s walk from the West Virginia University campus. They are a small college in a large university community!

Their goal is to provide you with the skills you need to begin your career in a short period of time. Through career-focused classes and hands-on training, you can earn an associate degree in months not years. Accreditation

West Virginia Junior College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and award diplomas and associate in specialized business degrees. The school is also approved for the training of veterans.

  1. Those courses are noted for their high enrollment numbers and the best thing is that they are included in the Virginia college online curriculum.
